About the Alliance

A collective impact organization, not another program.

The Regional Workforce Alliance was formed in 2017 under the CEO Council. It does not run its own training. It aligns the organizations that do — colleges, school districts, employers, and community agencies — around one shared goal and one shared measure.

How the Alliance works

Collective impact means the member organizations keep doing what they do best, while agreeing on one shared goal, one shared measure, and a structure for coordinating. The Alliance provides the structure. Its partners provide the programs.

It is co-chaired by the region's largest college and its largest business organization. Each of the three committees is led by two co-chairs drawn from different sectors, so no single institution sets the agenda. Coordination is handled by the Greater Peoria Economic Development Council.
